Product Review: Jamaican Mango & Lime Tingle Shampoo + Hello Hydration Moisturizing Conditioner

I don't have a staple shampoo or conditioner yet & have been wanting to try Jamaican Mango & Lime for a long time, today my mom bought me their shampoo and I usually wash my hair either on a Thursday or Friday so I went ahead & washed it today b/c I was excited to try out the shampoo + I just got a new conditioner over the weekend too: Hello Hydration. I got some Bad news about the Shampoo & some Good news about the Conditioner.

When I 1st got some of this shampoo in my hands as I was about to wash my hair, I noticed it looked weird. It smelled like Peppermint, but also had another weird smell to it that I can't describe. I ignored it though & once I rubbed it through my wet hair I knew RIGHT then that it was NOT a good shampoo. When I put it in my hair it matted it up even though I had JUST dangled it + it dried my hair out worse than a cheap shampoo would have, at 1st I thought "Maybe it's just b/c it's a Clarifying shampoo" I DID have some build up b/c I've been using gel to style my Wash 'n Goes, but there was NO excuse for it to have dried my hair out THAT bad!! My hair felt like straw & almost as bad as when I had relaxed damaged hair.

So after I got done washing my hair, I looked up the product & found this blog review about it: http://gigglzisfree.blogspot.com/2009/07/what-i-found-out-about-jamaican-mango.html When I read that I knew that this was the 1st & LAST time I'd ever use this shampoo EVER again. I'm disappointed in Mango & Lime b/c I LOVE their styling products, but apparently they suck at making shampoos and I don't even want to try their conditioner now. Looks like I still don't have a staple Shampoo yet, but don't worry b/c I already have MANY other shampoo brands in mind that I want to try out next =)

After having bad luck with the Mango n Lime shampoo drying my hair out like a desert, I was hoping that the Hello Hydration conditioner wouldn't fail me & would bring my hair back to life. Once I pumped some into my hand it felt like the perfect consistency, not too Thick & not too Thin. I LOVE the smell of it, it makes your hair smell really fresh =D When I put it on my poor thirsty hair I was SO relived & amazed at how it moisturized my hair! I had to put a lot on since my hair was so dry, but it worked GREAT, it's WAY better than Aussie Moist and it definitely Hydrated my hair back to life. I was surprised to see that it worked so good since it was a Drug Store brand, but am really satisfied with it & now it's officially my Staple Conditioner!
