Stella Jean

So today I stumbled across the work of fashion designer Stella Jean. I think her pieces are really beautiful, and I have to agree when others call her work "wearable art".

It's so intricate and bold, and it reminds me of of a painting or embroidery.  

I don't think her work is terribly wearable, but it is pretty.

Stella Jean is apparently of Roman descent but from the Caribbean, so it is interesting to see the different cultural influences that you can see in her pieces, specifically in the skirts. I especially love the middle dress in the set of three photographs.
