Feminism

Feminism. That word has different meanings for different people. I kind of hate some people’s views on feminism. A lot of people view feminism as negative because of some extreme ladies being crazy. Here are my views. I believe in equality between the sexes. I do not think we should cut all guys penises off and have them serve us because we are the superior sex. I do not think women are perfect. A lot of women are weak and pathetic and stupid. A lot of men are too. I do not think dressing in skimpy clothing makes you an anti-feminist whore. I think feminism is about having the choice to do what you want. You should not be forced to do something or not do something just because you are a woman. If you want to go be a Playboy bunny because you like to get naked, that’s cool. If you want to go be a house wife, that’s cool too.
If you want to do whatever this is, go right the hell ahead.

I hate when people sit around and say things like, “I can’t watch Mad Men anymore. It’s so sexist. The creators are such awful people.” The hell. If a TV show, movie, or book is set in a time period where women had less rights and were considered lesser by men, then that media should accurately depict that. Mad Men (just for example) is praised for it’s capturing of the time period. Even if it's not in the time period, some fictional characters are just sexist. Just because someone creates a character who is a weak woman, or who is a chauvinistic  man, does not mean that they are chauvinist or that they hate women. In most cases, the men in say, Mad Men, are stupid and awful and the women are the ones who go through changes and grow as people.

Regardless, they are all so stylish.

Also, they are fiction. So...if you are a strong independent woman, then just represent. That’s all you need to do. You should be worrying about your life, not about other people. Like I said, there are weak women. There are strong women too. There are all different kinds of people, and just because some are depicted in media that you don’t like, it doesn’t mean that it’s the end of the world for feminism. You should fight for equality in real life, not in fiction.

Just because they wrote her as liking panda outfits, does not mean that the writers like to wear panda outfits. See? They would not look as cute, either.
