My Gemstone/Crystal Collection

If you're Wiccan or just like pretty rocks/stones like me, then you should like this blog. William has been getting interested in different types of gemstones lately & what they mean etc. b/c of his friends that are Wiccan; so that made me remember that I had some crystals of my own from when I was little & collected them. IDK what type of  gemstones they are or what they mean, so I looked them up using this website & this one. Lets hope I got most of them right & if not, you can go on the websites for more info =)

Rose Quartz aligns with the Heart Chakra, governing the emotions, especially love, and is known as the “love stone”. It can be used to nurture, attract love, promote self-acceptance or, on a more spiritual level, love of whatever you hold sacred or Divine. It is extremely supportive for the broken-hearted or recently bereaved, as well as strengthening the bond between mother and newborn.

In addition, this wonderful crystal has a deadening effect on energy vortices caused by underground water, and can dampen electromagnetic stress, so it is beneficial to keep some near your computer monitor or television.

Quartz is arguably the most important crystal in crystal healing.
Clear quartz is used to channel, transmit, cleanse and magnify energy, giving it many uses in crystal healing, meditation and spiritual work. Due to its clarity and tendency to form in straight crystals, quartz is believed to bring clarity and focus to the mind, help decision making and enhance intellect. It is often used in wands to literally direct energy to a desired area, as well as to enhance and strengthen the effect for other crystals.

It isn't a natural stone. It is a piece of metallic slag from a smelting operation. Many times it's used as a base for roads or railroad tracks. It is also carried as ballast in tankers sometimes. It may or may not be magnetic, but usually isn't.

Tigers Eye is a stone of confidence and power that inspired brave - but never foolhardy - behaviour. It is believed to give us the strength, courage and cunning of a tiger. All types of tiger eye are believed to be beneficial for the digestive system.

Tibetan Quartz is of stunning clarity and usually contains black inclusions which are most likely carbon or manganese. The crystals often exhibit rainbows and are frequently double-terminated. It is purported to contain the wisdom and esoteric knowledge of ancient Tibet.

Aventurine is an excellent balancing stone for the heart as it acts without causing any turbulence. Enhances self-esteem. Creates a sense of harmony and balance. Used in Feng Shui to create harmony when there is disharmony between the members of a household.

In addition to the usual attributes for amethyst, chevron amethyst is one of the most powerful Third Eye stones, and can be used for psychic development and to enhance psychic healing and diagnostic skills.

(closest thing I could find to it)

Hypersthene is sometimes referred to as 'velvet labradorite', however the name is misleading, it is not labradorite at all. However 'velvet' definitely applies to the quality of its energy. Hypersthene calms, sooths, and quiets in general, and is especially helpful when the mind is overactive, shielding us from outside 'noise' in a velvety, protective cocoon.

(again, closest thing I could find to it)

Facilitates communication on every level, and is especially good for opening to spiritual guidance. Stimulates energy and blood flow. Can be used to scan the body before treatment, and is also helpful in past-life work and regression.

Amethyst is a member of the quartz family, and considered a master healer. Coloured by iron, amethyst usually forms geodes of densely packed short crystals all pointing inwards towards the centre of the hollow. Amethyst is one of the most popular crystal types and is a must have for any healer or collector.

Amethyst is an extremely soothing stone, which is good for psychic and spiritual development, bereavement and letting go of unhealthy thought or behaviour patterns. It is powerfully healing and cleansing, and can be used to block geopathic stress and negative energies in the environment, especially when a cluster is used. It is helpful in assisting sleep and relieving headaches, strengthens the endocrine and immune systems, acts as a pain reliever, and is a good all-round healing crystal.

Citrine stimulates creativity and independence and is purported to attract abundance. It can also have a gentle grounding effect, particularly if worn with the termination pointing downwards.

Sphalerite fills the body with golden light and imbues a feeling of 'lightness' within. It is warming, stimulating, uplifting and strengthens the immune system. It encourages psychic and spiritual development and can be very helpful in meditation and visualisation work.

Those are all the stone I own at the moment, but William says he's gonna buy me a Tibetan Quartz to match the one he wears as a necklace soon =)
