Only Girl (In the World)

This song. This video. It's just beautiful. What I really love is how obvious it is that Rihanna had a lot of fun in this video. She was strutting around and making all these funny faces. The filming was hazy pink, and it was also very repeat-y and choppy to go with the music. Her clothes were amazing, and the scenery was soooo beautiful. It reminds me of Nebraska when I drove through one time. The flowy fields with the craggly mountains and the flowers...it was wonderful looking.

She wore this outfit when she was swinging on the large swing into the sky near the end of video, too.

Her hair was so pretty in this.

She wore the sweater below in her "What's My Name" music video, also.

The flowers moved with the beat and Rihanna's movements, which was very cool.

It's a great video, one of  her most memorable. You can watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pa14VNsdSYM&ob=av3e

Pink. The Color.

I have a problem. It's not a serious problem, but still. I love the color pink. I tried to fight it, because it seems like such a superficial color, but it can be really stunning.

I like when photos have a pink-y sheen to them.

I really like the outfit in the photo above.

I think she looks like a crazy Christmas ornament.

Cherry blossoms. 'Nuff said.

It's just too beautiful.

Less is More: Part 2

Know Where to Put Your Money

This is where your creativity comes in. A frugal fashionista has a mix of differently priced items in her closet. While this woman can find almost everything on sale, she also has a small collection of designer pieces that are on heavy rotation year-round. In her book Savvy Chic, Anna Johnson put it this way:

My wardrobe is about ninety-percent vintage and select (ethical trade) el cheapo glamour, and a precious handful of items that are the real thing. Basically I fake everything except the handbag, the coat, and the shades.

I spend the most on my purse. A well-made purse can be worn with every outfit, it adds instant class, and if I take care of my bag it will last many years.

I spend the least on non-purse accessories and shirts. I can find a cute shirt from anywhere between 30 cents to five dollars using coupons at thrift stores and shopping the clearance sections. When I'm bored with my clothes I will look for a new accessory or shirt because I don't have to spend very much. Since I already own nice basic pieces and shoes, it is inexpenive for me to update my closet with a new scarf or pretty tank top. You will be able to develop your own budget-strategy as time goes by based on your style.

My Boyfriend's Memorial Day Visit

My boyfriend William is a US Marine as you all should know by now & I haven't seen him in 5 months since the last time he came to visit on leave, so I was really excited to finally see him in person again & not just in a picture or on webcam. He was here from the 21st through the 28th & left early this morning back to where he's stationed at after he said good bye to me, sigh. If any of you have seen the TV show Total Drama Island, then you should know who Courtney & Duncan are.

They've been showing a marathon of the show recently b/c of the new season coming up & I've noticed that they're the cartoon versions of me & William, kinda. We're both interracial couples, both William & Duncan are "goth" & wear/love Skulls + are tough guys who also have a sweet side. As for me & Courtney, I'm not as bossy as her but can be as Crazy as her when I feel like it + she seems to be a little Prissy & though I hate prissy ppl, I'm considered a "Proper" person to some ppl for some reason *shrugs* So even though we're not completely 100% like Courtney & Duncan, I've deemed them the cartoon versions of me & William b/c I love them & can see us playing their characters if we ever had to, LOL.

OK, back to what me & William did while he was visiting. He & I both love Monster Energy drinks & each time we hung out he had a can of it waiting for me in his cup holder, we shouldn't of been drinking them while it was 93 degrees outside but oh well~

Absolutely Zero

While he was here we saw 3 movies: 21 Jump Street, Dark Shadows & HOP

We saw 21 Jump Street when the stupid mall closed at 9pm & it was the most funniest movie I've ever seen, if you haven't seen it yet or just need to brighten up your mood then you should defiantly see it =)

Me & William already promised before he came to visit, that we were gonna go see Dark Shadows together & I was disappointed that it wasn't as funny as the preview of it led on. It was a good movie of course b/c Johnny Depp was in it, but it was just more Serious & Love Sick than funny.

We were supposed to see HOP together a LONG time ago when it was still in theatres, but William thought it was gonna be a "stupid" movie, so we rented it on DVD & watched it at my house. He ended up liking it & it was a very cute movie, I wish they made a life size stuffed animal of E.B. b/c it'd be adorable + I'd never get rid of it.

We only went to the mall once surprisingly b/c it was a busy week for us + everything kept closing early b/c of Memorial Day. The only store we went to was Hot Topic of course b/c that's our favorite store + they were having a 75% off sale.

I'm addicted to Nerd Glasses & had to add some more to my collection

William loves skulls & I picked these pair of earrings out so we could match

I'm gonna look like a Geek wearing this necktie + my nerdy glasses, but I told William I'm bringing back Neckties & become a trend setter (LOL)

William picked out these shoes for me & said they'll match my Bow Tie, which they do & now I wont be looking like such a Geek.

William already had this button in his car & said I could have it b/c he knows I love Gir

This is just something funny we saw driving down the road that I wanted to share, IDK what happened but somebody hit a brick mailbox & it was laying in the yard.

The last day William was here I made him take us to the pet store b/c I love puppies & we played with a female Corgi, if we had the money we defiantly would have bought her b/c she was too cute + reminded us of Ein from Cowboy Bebop, I called her Maggie though b/c she reminded me of a baby.

That's all the pictures I have from this/last week, sorry there aren't any pictures of us together but like I said it was a busy week =P Hopefully I won't have to wait 5 more months to see William again, but next time he visits we're defiantly going to the beach b/c we didn't even get to go to a pool while he was here >___<"

Memorial Day Field Trip

The Brownriggs invited us to join them to spend the day at Tiff's grandparents' farm.  I am not sure where they live...it was quite a drive but I think we were near Caldwell.

As soon as we arrived we rode 4-wheelers.

Then we walked through the creek looking for a snapping turtle that Grandpa Joe had spotted earlier.

Brax

Ty loved riding the "motorcycle."  He didn't want to get off!

Ty found a big crawdad.

Ty walking in the grass.

Then Tiff caught a little fish and Ty held it.

Maddie and Brax exploring.

Tiff found a frog!

more 4-wheeler rides

Peyton, Brax, Maddie and Ty watching Grandpa Joe put up the volleyball net.

After dinner we went fishing.  Maddie and Ty had never gone fishing before!  It was so much fun.  However, I didn't take my camera!
When we returned from fishing, we had a big volleyball game!

The day ended with homemade ice cream!  Ty ate 3 bowls!!
It was a wonderful day hanging with the Clark family!
