Photos From Weddings

One of my favorite bloggers, Cheesie, is getting married! I talk about her in this post that I created: http://maiobisogno.blogspot.com/2012/04/my-favorite-bloggers.html, and her blog is http://cheeserland.com/. She was very low key about announcing it, and she doesn't even talk about her boyfriend-now-fiance that much. She's very modest, and her supporters are very excited, including me. Any talk about weddings gets me in an inspirational mood, so I searched online and found some pretty wedding pictures that were so artsy that I can't help posting them.

The name of the photographer who took the picture is on the bottom left on the picture.

I like how they're visually pleasing and how they also capture the emotion of the subjects.

Can you see them? Way far off? Her veil looks great.

They're just great. Especially this photo from Kate Moss's wedding. I love the veils and the riding in a vintage car.

Frieke Janssens

Pinterest is just wonderful. I love finding all of these new photographers. Here's one: Frieke Janssens, a female Belgian photographer. She has a collection of photos of children smoking. And they are awesome. All of these kids look like little ballers.

Baller.

She's just owning it. I mean, it's staged, it's not like she finds balling kids who just smoke like it's nothing and photographs them. I think.

He dresses sharp, too.

I like how they have kind of an old school way of dress and way it's photographed. Like back in the day, everyone smoked all the time in a super dignified manner.

Why is she dressed like that? Did she have a career, too?

Another kid seems to have a career too. And he looks mildly terrifying.

He will kill you, then smoke over your body.

John Wright

John Wright is a photographer that I discovered recently. I mean, I didn't discover him...like, make him famous...I found his already popular work online....you know what I mean. Anyway! John Wright! He has interesting, fresh pictures. Here are some:

He has a few in this line, with girls who look like Marie Antoinette. And he has others.

Like this! He also takes photos of celebrities. And people who I think might be celebrities, but I'm not sure who they are. But they look nice!

His body of work is very large, and he seems really diverse. All of his pictures have a different feel.

Here's a link to his website! http://www.johnwrightphoto.com/ I really like finding new photographers and artists in general. I hope you all do, too.

Yulia Gorbachenko Photography

Hello! I recently stumbled upon the photographer Yulia Gorbachenko's work, and I thought I'd share some of my favorite photographs of hers. She really focuses on what the model is doing and thinking, and what she is doing and thinking, and together they make photos that really affect her. I think that's a really interesting and different way of doing things. Here are some of her pictures:

She has multiple ones with this model with flowers on her face. They look so pretty and different.

She also has some interesting makeup pictures, focusing on the lips.

Here's another one.

And the eyes.

I love the color combination with that one. She also has some model/fashion photographs.

Her name's Yulia Gorbachenko, and her website is http://www.yuliagorbachenko.com/
She has so many more photographs, that are all really diverse and well thought out. I hope you enjoy her work!

Chen Man

Oh hi! Hectic things happened to me, and too much negativity has been in my life lately, so I thought I would post something a little more light hearted! My friend Rina, of the blog http://liveandletloose.blogspot.com/ , introduced me to the Chinese photographer Chen Man recently (I mean, to her work, not to the actually woman). And I love her work! Rina's really into photography, and I'm interested in it as well. I just love visual, artistic things. So I thought I'd post a few of my favorite photos.

Oh my god she's naked. I guess I should have warned you in advance, sorry :). I really like how in all of her works Chen Man tries to capture the emotion in the face most of all. Sometimes other stuff is going on around it, but I feel like she really makes the emotion shine through.

This one is so pretty to me. Apparently Chen Man incorporates a lot of political and cultural messages in work from her country, China. I think that makes for some really unique pictures from a really unique point of view.

More nakedness. My bad. I thought this was very interesting. It's out of a series of skateboarder girls in China that Chen Man found and dolled up in pin up style. This is my favorite one, I like all the red and how in the normal picture she seems kind of tired, but in the pin up picture she commands the camera to look at her.

This one's more focused on telling a story, I think. The girls in this just look really defiant and badass.

This is my favorite, I think. The guy is just too cool, and I feel like he really draws you in to stare at his face. He reminds me kind of how Matt from Death Note would look. And the girl on the right I believe, is actually Chen Man herself.

I like that she uses Chinese models for her work, as someone who has Japanese roots, it annoys me when Asian companies or artists use Western girls as their subjects or models. We should celebrate Asians too! Any way, that's all, and thank you for Rina for introducing me to this wonderful artist. Her website is http://www.chenmaner.com/

What DSLR camera should YOU buy & how I chose Mine

I know I said I'd write this blog once I actually had MY camera that I want, but I think it would be better to just write it now so ppl don't have to keep waiting on me to save up & buy it to make the blog. So I'll start off by saying how I chose the camera that I'm saving for the Nikon D5100. I 1st was trying to see which was better: "Nikon or Canon" and as I watched a LOT of YouTube videos & read a bunch of Blogs + Reviews about which one was "better" I found out that they're BOTH great cameras & it just depends on YOU. Nikon is the best for taking Pictures b/c it has the best Lenses & Canon is the best for Video b/c Sony makes their Lenses.

I wanted a camera for Photography, Modeling & to make Videos on YouTube with; so I had to choose if I wanted better photos or video (Canon still takes good photos, I'm just one of the people that thinks Nikon's is better). So I went to Target & Best Buy to try out their Nikon & Canon cameras to see which one felt most comfortable in MY hands & had the controls easiest for ME to understand etc. I ended up liking the Nikon camera better b/c it felt a lot more comfortable and "right" in my hands than the Canon one + it's cheaper.

Next I researched online about all the Nikon DSLR cameras, at 1st I was gonna buy the D3100 b/c it was one of the cheaper ones they have + takes great photos; btw ALL the Nikon DSLR's can be used for Photography and all of them take some great photos. Remember that it's NOT the camera that makes the photos "great" but the Talent & Skills of the Photographer shooting with it!! I have a friend named Ashley who uses a D3100 so if you'd like to see some photos she's taken with it, you can find them here, here & here. Know that she is NOT a "professional" photographer, but she's an aspiring one just like me.

Back to the D3100, I decided I didn't want to buy it b/c of the Screen it has, YES that's the only reason!! The D3100 has a screen that flips out to the bottom & with that screen I wouldn't be able to see myself when recording Videos for YouTube + I like to see myself when taking Self Portraits; both b/c I'm shy & new to all of this (Modeling & Vlogging) so I'd like to see what I'm doing "wrong" in the screen & try to fix everything etc. Also I can check the time on the screen when recording Videos and make sure people can see me in the frame & the lighting of my room or outside is good etc. So I chose the Nikon camera with a screen that flips to the side the D5100, that way I would feel more confident about making videos & taking self portraits =)

So my advice is to just DO your own Research when trying to find out what camera you want, check out the cameras inside the store & see which one feels right for YOU & don't buy the highest priced one just b/c they say it's better than all the other ones. If you just want a camera to make Videos with, I'd just buy a Camcorder (Sony) b/c that's what most YouTubers use & they all have great quality videos. And if you want a camera for videos + great pictures, but aren't trying to become a photographer I'd say to check out either the Nikon J1 or the Nikon COOLPIX L120 that NaturallyCandi uses (or a Canon camera too). I'm not a professional on all this stuff, I'm just giving MY opinion on all of it & what I know from what I've looked up, hope it helped =) And make sure to watche the videos below this blog to help you out more, good luck~

Found out about an AMAZING & Inspiring young Photographer!!! *Houa Vang*

Last night I was looking at YouTube videos & searching for ppl's stories about How they got into photography etc. and I found this young Inspiring girl named Houa Vang!! She made me feel close to her bc she said she was shy in school & liked to keep to herself & only really "be herself" around her close friends n family, which is exactly how I am too. She also said she was kind of "emo" bc she missed her BFF that moved away and since I'm a military brat, I know the feeling.

Houa also mentioned that her family lives on a farm or has a farm(hope I'm right) and that she didn't have that much money, so she has to make do with what she has when she shoots Photography. I also am "poor" (not saying that she is) & don't even have a camera yet or any equipment at all, but seeing all her amazing photos that she took w/o any: Lessons, Schooling, proper Equipment, lots of Money etc. made me SUPER INSPIRED that I could do that too =)

One last thing I'd like to say that I like about her is that she is so REAL when she makes her YouTube videos & when she responds to ppl who comment on her channel or FB pg. I also found out last night that she lives close to where I'm supposed to be moving to live w my bf & I might get to be doing a Couples Shoot w her sometime in the Future!! She is officially one of my favorite photographer & inspirations now and I hope all of you will check her Photos out & get Inspired by her as well ^__^
