Art Pieces!

So, even though I can't find either of my cameras, I can take pictures using my Macbook photo booth! So I took some pictures of the art pieces that I got today! I ordered them from society6.com which has a lot of cool art that random people have created. It took a while to ship, since it went through the U.S. Postal Service, but the art is so pretty! It's on this really legit heavy paper and the colors are so bright. I got four pieces from Society 6:

Audrey Hepburn!

This is a flag of Japan with the Tokyo Subway map overlapping it!

And here's the poster above my bed from the movie Drive. I love that movie.

And here's the last piece! It's titled: "Sunny Leo".

I really like the pieces, and when I was worried about when my order was going to come because it took soooo long, they were really kind and personally responded to my e-mail. Check them out!

Fab Ciraolo

So I really don't know much about this guy, but his blog seems to be in Spanish? I took Spanish for four years straight, and I am woefully out of practice. Fabian Ciraolo, or Fab Ciraolo's blog is http://fabianciraolo.blogspot.com/  and I stumbled across his work of Pinterest. He takes iconic figures and does artsy stuff with them, which I really like, so I thought I'd post some of his work, and you all could go to his blog and look at his other stuff. He has a lot. A few of my favorites:

Dorothy.

Red Riding Hood.

I think she might be Zorro? The hat and all the fox imagery make me think so.

I don't know.

I like how he has a very distinct style, where if you look at his art, you can tell it is he who created it. It just makes me really happy to look at his stuff.

Thinking too much, how original.

So today I was thinking about how to make my life more interesting. Perhaps, it could be that I think too much about it.

In my Philosophy of Art class, we spoke about distance. Kant believes that lack of distance is really inattention. Let me explain further. If someone is watching Othello, and they start worrying that their wife is cheating on them, that is lack of distance. You can’t appreciate the art for art. You are applying your emotional life and personal experience to the art work, and you are ignoring the actual art piece. Perhaps, just maybe, I’m busy thinking about personal, past experiences and my own thoughts, instead of appreciating the “art”. Ew. Art as a metaphor for life is a little too-true-but-sickly-sweet for me. I apologize.

But still. Maybe I should just go out and do things, and not think about anything. I worry about being irresponsible, however. For a while, I feel like I was not in tune with myself. All through junior high and high school, in fact. That hurt me deeply. I am a much stronger person now, but I worry that not, “checking myself before wrecking myself” will hurt me again.

By doing so, I worry that I missed out on achieving more of my potential at an earlier age. Worry, worry, worry, worry, worry. I feel like we’d be drunk already if the word ‘worry’ was put with a drinking game. Are blogs and their bloggers supposed to be this self-centered? I feel like I should be talking about Kony or something. Ah, well.

Here’s one of my favorite songs. It’s “my jam” if you will. And it’s the unedited version. I will say, I felt like my whole childhood was a lie when I realized the edited version was not the real version.

Please enjoy.

Wild Milotic Appears!

Hi everyone! Today I went to my first session of my Milotic tattoo (just got back). This picture was taken right when I got home so you its kinda puffy n' stuff. I'm going to get the cherry blossoms filled in next, and more color c:
Ahhh now it stings! I guess this is my Valentines Day gift to myself, aha.

I finally finished one of my 11'x17' canvases last night! This one looks really cool, I added a ton of glitter, gold spraypaint, and detail on the body, so I'm quite proud of this c:

ON TO MY MAJOR SHOPPING SPREE!
First paycheck= bye bye!

Finally got a new pair of platforms! These are awesome and arrived in the mail this week. I love them so much and they are fun to match with outfits, I've had a pretty "gothy" fashion week. I also ordered a ton of stuff from Bodyline, which was also sent out yesterday. I'll make a post on that when the stuff arrives.
Also, I've been trying hard to make new friends, and its working! Friday, I'm going to a meetup at the showing of "The Borrower Arietty". I'll probably go in lolita c: I love finding reasons to dress up~

Dylan took me to the "Too Cool" store the other day, and I got a Luna pillow! They had so many cute things at that store, they even had a Keroberos pillow (that I really wanted), but I chose Luna and will get Kero next time! OH, one other thing they had was a GIANT HELLO KITTY- the size of me! I've already decided to get it next week, even though its really expensive. I just really want it. Oh my god its such a huge plush. I'm tempted to just get it now but I'm going to wait because I did a ton of shopping ;_;

Also got these! They are obviously not the VW shoes, but I will feel less guilty doing some serious adventure time in them :)
Here's the story on these and why I've spent so much this week: I bought the Vivienne Westwood angelomania wing shoes on ebay for an insanely expensive price months ago. After a long time of waiting, I did my research on the seller, and it turns out that I was ripped off (yet again!). I'm having a really bad time with sellers lately ;_; So I opened a case against them with all my collected evidence, and am waiting to hear back from ebay, hopefully I will get my money back. I better!

Also, here's my decora phone case that I made! c:
I made it a while ago, and found it again. I need to make a new one for my current phone~

Tonight, a friend also sent me some pictures she took of me when I was a freshman in high school, I never saw them till' tonight, and thought they were really cool! Here's three pictures of me in freshman year:

Long post! Thanks for looking at my blog!~
Going to post again soon :)
