Piercing and Pensacola

So, I'm settled in both at home and with my new work schedule, so hopefully I will be able to update more frequently! First off, I got my belly button pierced! It hurt a lot, I think more than my nose did.

This is the picture right after, the yellow around my navel is the iodine cleaning solution the piercing guy put around it to clean it. The bottom jewel on the barbell is so big it covers almost my entire navel! I really love it, though. It's sore still; I never realized how much I use my stomach until I got this piercing. It's healing quite nicely, and I will post more pictures when it's fully healed later. In other news, I get to go to Florida this summer! I am very excited, since Florida is one of my favorite vacation places EVER! It's so beautiful, especially the Pensacola Beach area.

Here's a picture I took a few years ago of the sound and the sunset. It's so lovely. The sound is a lot calmer and more grey, I really prefer the sea side. There are so many great things to do in Pensacola Beach besides going to the beach, like going to all the restaurants!

Crabs is probably my favorite restaurant in Pensacola Beach. You can eat outside right by the beach, and the food is delicious. Flounders and Peg Leg Pete's are also good. I just love seafood, so many of the places in Florida have great seafood, so there isn't really a bad place to eat.

It's not just the ocean and the sand that's beautiful in Florida, the houses are great too. The one above looks like it was inspired by lemons and limes, it's one of my favorites. A lot of the houses in Pensacola Beach are raised up, with tall stairs and balconies and the garage is underneath the first level of the house, so if there's any flooding, they'll be safe. I think that's smart, and a lot of the houses are really creatively designed because of it.

Destin's very nice also, if you want a more city feel. The Silver Sands outlet mall is amazing, and Another Broken Egg is a great restaurant to go to. But Pensacola Beach has a nice mix of places to go and calm beaches to walk along.

Go to Florida if you can! No matter where you go, it rains for at least ten minutes each day, and there are beaches and friendly service all across the state!

One More Ride

Before heading back to Zanesville on Monday, Ty and Maddie needed to ride in the tractor with Pa one more time.

Carson, Maddie and Ty all rode with Pa at the same time.

Pa tried to drop them off after about a half hour.  They got off, then wanted to get right back on.  So back on they went!

Rodeo

Saturday night we went to the rodeo.

We stayed for a few hours and saw kids riding baby bulls, cowboys riding big bulls, and barallel racing.  It was not the best rodeo ever (actually, I have never been to a rodeo so I don't have anything to compare it to!) but the kids still enjoyed it!

We even saw hot air balloons taking off!

After barallel racing anyone could go out and dance to the music.

Guess who wanted to go right out there?  Instead I let her get off the bleaches and dance.

Then Ty and Carson joined her.  Now it was 10 pm and Tracey and I thought we should head home!

Swim Club

Saturday we spent the day (10 to 3) at the pool!

Aunt Tracey and Ty watching Logan and Carson jump off the driving board.  Ty was crushed when I told him he couldn't go off the diving board...crocodile tears!

So Ty had to jump off the side of the pool.

The Green Barn

After dinner the four cousins went with Tracey and me to tour Pa's green barn.

Everyone had to climb and play on all the equipment.

Carson

I think Ma should use this picture for her Christmas card!

always cheering

Can you tell that Ty loved all the tractors?

These two are cut out from the same mold....they are either getting along perfectly or agruing about everything!

Fun Day at the Conley Ranch

Friday we went to see my best friend from high school, Stacey, and her family!  I did not take many pictures but the kids loved it here...I didn't think I was ever going to get them home!  First,  they have 4-H pigs that Maddie and Ty got to feed marshmallows to.  Then Ty and Maddie had to get all the bikes and toys out of the garage and play with them.  Stacey had everything!  Next, we made it to the pool.
Haley and Maddie going under together!

Ty jumping off the raft with Stacey.

I am sure Maddie is bossing Haley around.  Hayley and Dawson are so good with kids!

I had a wonderful time because I got to catch up with Stacey face to face!  Maddie and Ty had a blast playing with Dawson and Haley!
Some comments Maddie made about the day...."Mom, Stacey's house is way cooler than yours!"   and  "Stacey is a gooder cook than you!"

At Ma and Pa's

After visiting the zoo, Maddie, Ty, and I went to visit Ma and Pa while Daddy went to Pittsburgh for basketball camp.

It was a hot day, so Ma got out the sprinkler while Ty was riding in the combine.

Carson

Maddie....sweet outfit, I know!

Logan and I rode bikes to see Ty ride in the combine.  I had to ride Logan's bike and he had to ride Carson's bike.  It was so hard to ride a little bike!

Can you see Ty in there?  He was sitting on Bobby's lap!

Then back at Ma's there was rock painting!

Finally, Maddie, Ty and I went with Carson and Aunt Tracey to his flag football practice.  Maddie and Ty played on the playground during practice.
Ty enjoying a snack, Pringles, of course!
