So, for over a week Ty has been begging for a bike. I hear, "Mama, I want a bike!" at least ten times a day. It started last weekend when he got up Saturday morning at 3 am. The first words out of his mouth? Yep, "Mama, I want a bike!" Maddie got a bike for Christmas from Ma and Pa. Ty got a bicycle helment only because he cannot touch the pedals on a bike. Recently he has been wearing his helment around the house. Finally, today Chris and I gave in and took him to Wal-Mart to pick out his new bike. Boy, was he happy! Of course, Maddie had to get something so she picked out lip gloss and flip flops (those items will look nice with her usual outfit, Ty's Nike shorts and t-shirt. After purchasing the bike, we went to OUZ to ride. Maddie kept asking Ty to ride his bike. She could not talk him into that so she had to ride her Barbie bike.
Matt and Bryan's graduation party was Friday night. Matt will be attending Northwestern in the fall and Bryan will be going to Illinois.

The kids and I celebrated Mother's Day by just hanging out together. Other than going to church we just stayed at home. We had breakfast and lunch invitations, but I declined both of those.

Saturday evening a group of us celebrated Beth and Bill's 33rd anniversary and Angie and Brian's 12th anniversary at Terra Cotta Vineyard in New Concord.
Chris went to Ocean City, NJ this weekend to play in a basketball tournament. He left a gift for Maddie and Ty to enjoy while he was gone. He also wrote them a note reminding them to take it easy on Mommy over the weekend!
The gifts were a huge hit! Opening them kept Ty and Maddie busy long enough to allow me to get the kitchen floor mopped. Thanks Daddy!
