Easter Friday

Thursday after school we traveled to Wilmington to spend the weekend with Ma and Pa. After dinner, we went outside to play with the colored bubbles Aunt Tracey purchased.
Maddie had red bubbles. The bubbles got on her face, it isn't blood.
Ty enjoying some snuggle time with Ma outside. Ma can hold him just not carry him.

Maddie got a Dora big wheel.

Yes! A game where Ty is actually suppose to throw something!!
Logan was pretty pleased with the Easter Bunny.

This is the best pic I could get of the four cousins!

Practice Hunt

The Brownriggs came over for dinner last week. They were here when Ty and I got home from therapy. We walked in the house and saw Tiff holding Hudson in the kitchen. Ty said, "Hey Tiff, what you got?"
I held Hudson all night! So Tiff had to read to Maddie.
Ty was very jealous of Hudson in the beginning. He cried and cried when I held him. Finally, Nate took Ty to play and he was happy the rest of the night. Ty brought me his baby to hold too.
After dinner, Nate and Chris hid some eggs in the living room. It was a practice egg hunt since they would be participating is so many Easter weekend.

Ty did not care how many he found, he just cared about what kind of candy was inside the egg.

There is just something really cute about a newborn in a car seat! Happy Easter!

The Floor

Maddie wanted to sleep on the floor. I decided to let her thinking it would not last long. At midnight, she was still on the floor snoozing. She slept all night long!!

A Note from the Teacher

Recently Ty and Maddie brought home a letter from Miss Fran from their school. Ty and Maddie go to the same "school" now (it's a daycare/preschool and they go two mornings a week) and are in the same class. The letter said:

Having Ty and Maddie in our room is a pleasure. Maddie is doing very well. Ty is making awesome progress. You would think he has been here a long time. We did puzzles today during center time and Ty did great. It is sweet to see the love and concern Maddie has for Ty.

Mama's Weekend

I went to Wilmington this weekend to spend some time with Ma. Since her back surgery a few weeks ago she hasn't been able to do much. She cannot ride in a car so she can't go anywhere. She can lie down as long as she wants, sit in 20 minute intervals, and stand as long as she can tolerate it. She is not allowed to bend and cannot lift more than 10 lbs. Therefore, she is stuck at home and not allowed to do anything. So I got to spend a lot of quality time with her just hanging out. I did go to the grocery store for her and helped create an additional playroom for Maddie and Ty downstairs.
Ma has received over 60 Get Well Cards in the mail!

Saturday Jason bought a new car. He took me on a ride in "sports mode." I don't really know what that means but we went really fast! Since I was kidless, I got to spend some time with Logan and Carson. They showed me their zip line that they made. I was pretty impressed with it!
Carson did not want me to take his picture.

Daddy's Weekend

I went to Wilmington this weekend to spend some time with Ma who is recovering from back surgery. That meant Daddy was on duty all weekend. This was my first time leaving Maddie and Ty for a weekend.
Friday night Chris's family came over for dinner. It got sort of chilly!
Emma and Maddie cuddled up with a blanket on the swing.
I thought this picture was cute of Maddie and Jacob.
Then Saturday afternoon Chris took Ty and Maddie to the country club to see Jacob's ride for prom....a fire truck.

Ty went right to Brent.

Sunday Ty and Maddie went outside for some fresh air.

Ty and Maddie eating their cheeseburger and fries from McDonald's. It was their only meal that Chris did not cook all weekend!

Believe it or not, Ty, Maddie and Daddy got along fine without me! I think they might even had some fun. The house was in good shape when I got home too.
